About Fiona

About Fiona Davies, Psychodynamic Therapist in Hackney

Whatever the reason that has brought you to seek therapy, firstly I understand that it’s a big step, and can often be daunting; but I want you to know you are in the right place. With many years as a therapist, I can help you to help yourself by getting to the cause of your deep rooted emotional issues. I am a psychodynamic therapist which means I believe your past experiences shape the person you are now, and your unconscious communications can play out over and over again, meaning you repeat patterns, get stuck or don’t understand why you act the way you do. Therapy with me will help you.

A little bit about me…..I have over 20 years experience working in schools with young people – and truly believe that accessing emotional support is life changing. I work as a therapist in a secondary school for three days a week, and in the evenings I have a private practice where I enjoy working with adults – I love the variety of therapeutic work, and consider it a privilege helping you to navigate whatever emotional difficulty you face: whether it is a repeated pattern in your relationships you want to understand? Or, you might have been aware of behaviours that in the past have been harmful to you and stopped you living your best life. Perhaps it’s depression, OCD, anxiety or maybe you are not 100% sure what is wrong. Whatever is going on for you, get in contact to see how I can help.
